Maths
The programme will consolidate and reinforce topics such as Numbers and Algebra (Whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rate and speed), Measurement and Geometry (Area and Volume, Angles) and Statistics (Averages). Specially designed for Primary school students.

Problem Solving and Flexibility
Students will be exposed to multiple ways of thinking about a problem and solving it. This not only gives them a more well-rounded perspective of mathematical concepts, but also gives them an arsenal of strategies that they can use depending on their personal preference. Techniques that will be discussed: evaluating different methods, using heuristics such as models, diagrams, logical deduction (guess and check/elimination), and methods to avoid common mistakes (conceptual and careless errors) and more.

Consistency
Concepts will be revisited and revised regularly through quizzes and tests to ingrain these concepts in the students. Not only will this solidify a student’s understanding, but this will also give them the confidence to tackle similar problems.

Reviewing
This course will also provide timely feedback to the students on their strengths and weaknesses, to give an accurate picture of how the student should spend their time to improve their understanding.

Excel
Students will also be exposed to higher order thinking questions to further enhance their understanding and give them an edge in tackling mathematical problems.
